CHICAGO, Nov. 27 — Carestream is now shipping its innovative new DRYVIEW Chroma Imager to healthcare providers worldwide. This versatile printer outputs grayscale and color DICOM images from most digital modalities onto DRYVIEW Chroma Medical Film for diagnosis, or DRYVIEW Chroma Medical Paper for use by referring physicians and patients. The new imager minimizes operating costs with affordable consumables and low maintenance requirements.
“We are seeing strong demand for the affordable DRYVIEW Chroma Imager because it enables imaging providers to differentiate their services by delivering high-quality color and grayscale prints of key images that are convenient for referring physicians to view and share with patients,” said Joseph Maune, Global Business Manager, Advanced Printing Systems, Carestream Health. “This imager also enables our customers to reduce expenses by eliminating the need for multiple printers.”
The imager prints studies from PET/CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, general purpose computed radiography, general purpose digital radiography, PACS and image-enabled EMR systems. It also supports dental printing applications. Image processing software is integrated within the DICOM interface for optimized image quality.
“The DRYVIEW Chroma Imager is a reliable, high-quality printer that allows us to deliver better quality output to our referring physicians. Printing medical images onto both film and paper allows us to reduce costs and save space because we can use this compact printer instead of several larger printers. I would recommend it to hospitals, radiology services or clinics,“ said Dr. Fernando Garcia, Radiologist, ERESA Medical Group, Campanar, Valencia, Spain. Dr. Garcia tested the product prior to its launch.
A second ERESA Medical Group Clinic that tested the imager also gave it a favorable review. “The DRYVIEW Chroma Imager offers excellent printed quality on both film and paper, which allows us to provide better service and higher value to our referring physicians. The imager’s ability to output images onto both media types and in different sizes delivers greater versatility and as well as convenience and cost savings for our clinic,” said Dr. Maria del Puig Cozar, Nuclear Medicine, ERESA Medical Group HGV, Valencia, Spain.
The DRYVIEW Chroma imager is also ideal for printing from advanced visualization tools such as 3D volume rendering, color mapping and vessel analysis. It supports four medical film sizes and three medical paper sizes with a choice of glossy or matte finish.
