ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 25 — Carestream Health has been awarded an agreement for Carestream’s versatile family of DRX systems and Q-Rad Digital DRX Systems with HealthTrust Purchasing Group, a major U.S. healthcare group purchasing organization. Q-Rad Digital DRX Systems are available from Quantum Medical Imaging, a division of Carestream. Carestream’s CR systems are also available under a separate contract.
The new contract, which begins Oct. 1, 2012, includes the following wireless, cassette-size systems marketed by Carestream: DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System,CARESTREAM DRX-1 System, CARESTREAM DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kit, CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution DR Suite, and CARESTREAM DRX-Ascend System.

The DRX-Revolution sets new standards for bedside imaging with excellent image quality, exceptional maneuverability, and a collapsible column that allows safe and easy movement of the system from one area to another.
The DRX-Evolution is a modular DR room that can be configured to fit each user’s budget, space and workflow needs. This system offers special features that can help manage dose, optimize image quality and enhance patient care, especially for critically ill or injured patients.
Easy Conversion of Existing X-ray Systems to DR
CARESTREAM DRX-1 systems allow facilities to quickly and affordably convert existing X-ray rooms to DR, which delivers rapid image access and improved image quality. DRX-Mobile Retrofit kits can be integrated with existing mobile X-ray systems to deliver immediate image access and specialized visualization software for ER, ICU, surgical and in-patients throughout the hospital.
CARESTREAM DRX-Ascend and Quantum Digital DRX Systems are designed for imaging centers, orthopedic facilities, urgent care clinics and hospital radiology departments and offer ceiling and flour-mounted systems with a range of configurations and options.
